Obscurant Selvedge is crafted from raw 15oz Japanese denim. To preserve its shape, texture, and deep character, we recommend the following care approach:
1. Break It In
Wear your denim often before the first wash—let it mold to your body and develop natural fades unique to your lifestyle.
2. Spot Clean When Needed
Use a damp cloth or soft brush to remove surface dirt or stains. Avoid frequent washing in the early months.
3. Wash Infrequently (and Gently)
When it’s time, hand wash or machine wash cold inside out, using minimal detergent. Avoid bleach. Line dry to preserve the fabric and shrinkage control.
4. Avoid the Dryer
Heat will break down fibers and warp the fit. Always air dry flat or hang dry.
5. Store With Care
Fold or hang in a cool, dry place. Avoid overcrowded storage to keep the denim breathing and crease-free.
Note: The beauty of raw selvedge is in the wear—it’s meant to evolve. Fades, creases, and softness will emerge over time, telling a story that’s entirely your own.
